ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The contractor overseeing the Rapides Parish Coliseum expansion says all the steel is up now, so people can see just how big the coliseum will be.

The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/1MrPQOm) reports that Bill Tudor of Alliance Design Group recently told the Rapides Parish Police Jury that the foundation was in and the steel up before all the rain.

He says mud from recent rains has slowed some plumbing. That has to be finished before the slab is laid and walls can go up.

But he says mechanical, electrical and plumbing are roughed in.

The livestock barn drew only $500 in a recent auction. But the new owner’s removing it, saving the jury $60,000 to $70,000 in demolition. Tudor says removal is under way.
