PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gov. Gina Raimondo has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Raimondo issued the order on Monday following a presidential proclamation. The American and Rhode Island flags will be lowered at all state facilities and buildings and kept at half-staff until sunset on Thursday.

She also asked that Rhode Islanders lower their own flags as a sign of respect.

Raimondo also sent her deepest condolences to those affected by the violence, and says Rhode Islanders stand together with the people of France.
