PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A silent vigil is set to be held in Providence to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Groups including the Alliance Francaise of Providence, the French American School of Rhode Island and the French Consulate in Boston have organized the vigil. It’s due to be held at 6 p.m. near the city’s World War I monument.

Organizers say all are welcome to attend to reflect and pray about the events that happened Friday.

Islamic State terrorists killed 129 people and wounded 350 on Friday when they attacked a soccer stadium, a rock concert and four nightspots with assault gun fire and suicide bombs.
