Local and federal authorities are investigating an Alabama teenager’s alleged involvement in a terror plot.

Peyton Pruitt, 18, of St. Clair County has been charged with soliciting support for a terrorist act, Al.com reported.

Details about the alleged terror plot have not yet been made public. St. Clair County District Attorney Richard Minor said further details cannot be released because of the ongoing investigation.

FBI spokesman Paul Daymond said the bureau is assisting county police in the investigation but could not give any further details.

Mr. Pruitt’s bond has been set at $1 million, St. Clair County Sheriff Terry Surles confirmed.

Mr. Pruitt’s arrest comes on the heels of deadly terrorist attacks in Paris that left 129 dead and 352 injured. It also comes a day after the Islamic State terrorist group released a new video threatening to carry out similar attacks in Washington, D.C.
