LAS VEGAS (AP) - A sheriff’s official says a 24-year-old man is jailed on multiple felony charges and a woman is being sought following an armed robbery that left an employee injured during the weekend at a fireworks store in Pahrump.

Nye County sheriff’s Sgt. David Boruchowitz (buh-ROOK’-uh-witz) said Monday that investigators were looking for 28-year-old Cassandra Port in the 9 p.m. Saturday takeover robbery at Area 51 Fireworks.

Boruchowitz says Jacob Porter was arrested outside the store and jailed pending an initial court appearance on kidnapping, conspiracy, battery, theft, destruction of evidence and resisting arrest charges.

Boruchowitz says Porter and Port tried to force one employee into an office when another employee intervened and fought with Port and Porter.

The injured employee was taken to Desert View Hospital in Pahrump for treatment.
