MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Striker Besart Berisha scored twice and Kosta Barbarouses also netted against his former club as defending champion the Melbourne Victory beat Wellington 3-0 Monday to end the fourth round of Australian football’s A-League.

The Victory’s second win of the season lifted it to fourth place on the table, three points behind leader Sydney FC, and shunted Wellington back to fifth.

Berisha opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Barbarouses snuffed out Wellington’s winning chance in the 55th minute when his low cross, meant for Berisha, was deflected in by Phoenix captain Andrew Durante.

Berisha scored again six minutes later, beating the offside trap and steering the ball home while lying on the ground after tripping while passing goalkeeper Glen Moss.
