KENT, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say the body of one fisherman has been recovered and another fisherman has been rescued from a lake in northwestern Connecticut.

Emergency crews responded to Lake Waramaug in Kent on Sunday morning after receiving reports of a person missing in the water.

Washington Fire Chief Mark Showalter tells the Waterbury Republican-American that a fisherman apparently suffered a health-related episode while sitting in a boat and fell overboard. A second fisherman went in after him in an unsuccessful attempt to save him.

The second fisherman made it back to shore and was taken to New Milford Hospital with mild hypothermia. His condition isn’t known.

Authorities say the body of a 50-year-old man from Stamford was recovered later Sunday. His name hasn’t been released.
