LOS ANGELES (AP) - Steven Haney sank a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 14 points to lead Loyola Marymount past Antelope Valley for an 86-62 win Sunday.

Adom Jacko added 11 points, while Brandon Brown and Petr Herman had 10 apiece for the Lions (1-2), who shot 50 percent on 66 attempts from the floor and led nearly the entire game. Brown also dished out seven assists.

Antelope Valley, an NAIA team, stayed close through much of the first half before Loyola Marymount pulled away with a 9-0 burst sparked by Jeffery McClendon’s 3-pointer to make it 41-25 with 2:29 to go before intermission. The Lions took a 43-29 lead into the break and continued to stretch their advantage over the final 20 minutes.

Miles Nolen-Webb led the Pioneers with 15 points, while Josh Sanchez and Joe McNiff added 10 apiece.
