WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - A man is behind bars after police say he plowed his vehicle into three people in the parking lot of a Winter Haven bar.

Witnesses said four people were fighting in the parking lot at Old Man Frank’s around 2 a.m. Saturday when the argument escalated physically. The bar’s security staff broke up the fight, but Winter Haven police say Buddy Bailey got into his car and drove straight into a group of people, hitting three men.

Authorities said the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Bailey was charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a motor vehicle and one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury.
