JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a Jersey City man who was released from prison last month has been gunned down.

Prosecutors told the Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/1kOLgTy) that 26-year-old Tyreek McCord was shot early Saturday in the parking lot of the IHOP restaurant on Route 440.

McCord was released from prison on Oct. 13 after serving nearly a year for aggravated assault, theft, and receiving stolen property.

It was the fourth fatal shooting in the city in 10 days.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
