WASHINGTON (AP) - The Department of Homeland Security will activate a hypothermia alert for the District of Columbia.

WJLA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1N2GesF ) the alert will be activated at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Such an alert is activated when the temperature or wind chill is 32 degrees or below. Officials say temperatures could dip as low as 31 degrees overnight.
