OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - The Omaha Police Department is taking part in a nationwide “Click It or Ticket” campaign for the week of Thanksgiving.

Police say the effort will begin Monday and run through Sunday throughout the city. The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety has awarded $15,000 to fund extra officers on the streets enforcing Nebraska’s seat belt and child safety seat laws.

The goal of the campaign is to increase the awareness of and compliance with Nebraska’s seat belt and child restraint laws.
