BOSTON (AP) - A Boston man has been arrested for robbing at least five men who thought they were meeting up with a woman they met on a social networking site.

Rakeem Austin was arraigned Monday in Dorchester Municipal Court on five counts each of armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime.

Austin is being held in custody pending his next court date Dec. 18. He is being represented by the public defender’s office.

Prosecutors say Austin lured the men to locations near his home using various fake profiles of women created on the website Tagged.com.

The 30-year old then allegedly confronted each of the men with a gun and demanded their valuables. Prosecutors say the incidents took place between Oct. 14 and Nov. 21.
