FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man who impersonated a police officer and robbed a driver at gunpoint in Clinton County.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says a man driving a white Ford Crown Victoria followed the victim from Interstate 65 onto State Road 28 at about 9:30 p.m. Friday and then turned on red and blue lights on the vehicle’s dashboard. Deputies say the police impersonator pulled out a small handgun and robbed the victim of his or her wallet after both vehicles had pulled over.

Investigators say the man’s vehicle is outfitted with a spotlight and red and blue emergency lights.
