BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The Boulder County coroner’s office has released the name of a man who died after he crashed his car into a pond.

The Daily Camera reports (https://goo.gl/fPSBch ) 37-year-old Andrew MacLean, of Boulder, was found in a partially submerged car near the intersection of U.S. 36 and Foothills Parkway on Sunday morning.

Colorado State Patrol investigators say it appears MacLean was trying to merge onto the highway when his car went off the road at a curve and crashed into the pond. It’s unclear when the crash happened, but someone walking a dog in the area saw the submerged car and called police.
