CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — Emergency officials say a man was struck and killed by a Metro train in Capitol Heights.

Mark Brady, a spokesman for Prince George’s County Fire/EMS, tells The Washington Post that it happened about 7:30 p.m. at the Capital Heights Station.

He says the man was pinned under a car of the blue line train about 200 feet inside a tunnel.

Officials say it is unclear how the man was hit by the train. Metro Transit Police tweeted that foul play was not suspected.
