NEW YORK (AP) - A Brooklyn man convicted in a string of sexual assaults has been sentenced to 100 years to life in prison.

The sentence for Dexter Bell, 26, was announced Monday. He had been convicted of six counts of predatory sexual assault on Nov. 9.

Authorities said four of the attacks took place over the span of a week in April 2013. The victims were young women, and in one case, a 15-year-old girl. The attacks took place in the Crown Heights and Canarsie sections of the borough.

Authorities said Bell would strike up a conversation with the women, then get them into isolated places and rape them.
