MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Shumlin administration is taking comments from the public on the state budget through Internet-based seminars called webinars.

The two hearings are planned for Monday.

The human services budget will be the topic from 1 to 3 p.m., and the budget for the rest of state government will be the focus from 4 to 6 p.m.

Among the pressures on human services are more people getting health care through Medicaid; a call for more social workers to respond to abuse and neglect of children and the continuing unmet need for substance abuse treatment.
