VENTURA, Calif. (AP) - Ventura County sheriff’s officials have called off the search for a fisherman who went missing after his boat capsized near Ventura Harbor.

Two men fishing for lobster Friday night outside the Ventura Harbor fell into the water after a 5-foot wave capsized their 15-foot vessel.

One fisherman swam to shore.

The Ventura County Star reports (https://bit.ly/1SepRh5) searchers spent much of the weekend looking for the other, a man in his 60s whose name wasn’t released.

A helicopter crew, multiple boats and a dive team participated in the search. The dive team halted efforts Saturday when a juvenile great white sharked bumped one of the divers.

Officials called off all search efforts Sunday evening.

The newspaper says the boat was damaged, and parts of it drifted onto the beach.
