HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) - Chaise Daniels had 16 points and blocked four shots, and Giovanni McLean added 13 points to lead Quinnipiac to a 69-59 victory over North Carolina Central on Tuesday night.

Dimitri Floras added 10 points and Daniel Harris had six points and 10 rebounds for Quinnipiac (2-2).

North Carolina Central (1-3) led throughout most of the first half but the Bobcats charged back to take a 31-27 lead at the break. NCCU’s Kyle Benton drove for a layup to tie the score at 33 with 17:36 left in the second half. Quinnipiac’s Harris answered with a trey to start a 20-2 run and a 53-35 lead midway in the final period. The Eagles never threatened again.

Jeremiah Worthem scored 12 points, Jamal Ferguson added 11 and Dante Holmes chipped in 10 for NCCU. Dajuan Graf added nine points and dished out seven assists.
