YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona man has been found guilty of murder after prosecutors say he caused a fatal car accident while street racing last June.

The Yuma Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1TcLjnE ) that a jury took less than half a day Monday to find Markley Allen Foster guilty of two counts of murder in the deaths of 61-year-old Roberto Rodriguez and his 56-year-old wife Sylvia Rodriguez.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says Foster ran a red light last June and hit the Rodriguez’ car in the intersection. Prosecutors say he was street racing.

Foster was also convicted of criminal damage and possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.

His attorney, Michael Donovan, asked to have the jurors polled individually to make sure they returned their true verdicts. Each juror said he or she did.
