WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut middle school teacher has been arrested weeks after a video surfaced showing him acting aggressively toward a student and pulling a chair out from under him.

Teacher David Pfaff of Cheshire was fired earlier this month from Harry M. Bailey Middle School in West Haven.

West Haven police arrested the former eighth-grade science teacher on Monday night and charged him with reckless endangerment and breach of peace.

WVIT-TV reports Pfaff apologized and said earlier this month that the incident happened after he had asked a student to move. He says the student has had behavioral issues in the past and that the student refused and used inappropriate language.

Pfaff has been released. He is due in Milford Superior Court on Dec. 8.
