PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota State Historical Society has announced entertainment plans for its holiday open house.

The historical society says the event is scheduled for Nov. 27 at the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre.

Jay Vogt is director of the State Historical Society. He says entertainment is an important part of the event and encourages attendees to bring guests.

Some of the performers throughout the day include Carol Johnson doing vocals and Joyce Goehring performing on piano. There will also be holiday treats and free admission to the museum.
