NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Jennifer Donnals has been named the new press secretary for Gov. Bill Haslam.

She joins the Republican governor’s office after spending four years as communications director for the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.

Prior to that, she served nine years as communications director for the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office.

Donnals replaces David Smith, who was promoted to communications director in the governor’s office.
