PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Dozens of Lewis & Clark College students are occupying rooms outside the college president’s office.

The students say they want a more diverse faculty and improved safety at the Portland campus. Tuesday’s sit-in comes days after a black student told police he was assaulted on campus by three white men.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/OmW8Lc) that President Barry Glassner was not in his office when the protest started, but came by to briefly speak with the students. He pledged to continue working to make the campus safe and inclusive.
