FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Plans call for redeveloping the site of a former Flint-area attraction with a hotel, indoor storage facility and assisted living center.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1PLU8pT ) the project would bring a new use to the site of Pirate’s Park in Genesee County’s Flint Township. The once-popular attraction included a 420-foot tall water slide, batting cages and a miniature golf course.

The four-tiered water slide, known as the Typhoon, used 2,000 gallons of water to run. It was moved to Flint Township in 1991 from a park in New Hudson.
