WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) - A 61-year-old woman has died after her car hit a stone wall and rolled over several times in Westerly.

The Westerly Sun (https://bit.ly/1QFFu3J ) reports that the woman was heading north on Route 1 at 11:20 a.m. Monday when she crossed into the southbound lane.

Police say the car hit a stone wall near Post Road and rolled several times. The woman was taken to Westerly Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her identity is being withheld pending the notification of her family. The crash is under investigation.
