BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Marcus Posley scored 35 points as St. Bonaventure held off Canisius for a 77-73 win on Tuesday night.

Posley was 11 of 21 from the field and made all nine free throw attempts. Dion Wright added 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bonnies (3-1) scored eight free throws down the stretch to win the 164th meeting between the schools. Jaylen Adams added six points and dished out six assists.

Canisius (2-2) never took the lead in the second half but stayed close throughout and tied the game at 69 when Jermaine Crumpton had a tip-in with 1:47 left. Posley made two free throws to retake the lead and the Bonnies held on for the win.

Malcolm McMillan made 12 of 13 free throws to total 22 points to lead Canisius. Kassius Robertson added 13 and Crumpton chipped in 12.
