MONROE, La. (AP) - The search for a Winnsboro murder suspect has ended with the accused apparently taking his own life at a Monroe motel.

KNOE-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1MPPS2B ) it happened Tuesday morning at the Economy Inn. Police were called about a shooting there and when they arrived they found Mario Doyle dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Doyle was accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Calvin Toles Sunday night at a birthday party. Two others were also injured, including a child. The child was most recently listed in stable, but critical condition.

The Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office had issued a warrant for Doyle’s arrest on charges of murder and attempted murder and had been searching for him.
