SAN DIEGO (AP) - The aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt has arrived in San Diego after a nine-month deployment that included airstrikes in Syria and Iraq.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt will be stationed in San Diego, replacing the USS Ronald Reagan, which left for Japan after 11 years in the San Diego Bay.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1NN8Wym ) that the Theodore Roosevelt and its 3,000-person crew arrived Monday. The ship had previously been stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, before leaving for deployment in March.
