NEWALLA, Okla. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a woman’s death after she was found dead following a fire at a mobile home in Cleveland County.

The Norman Transcript (https://bit.ly/1TcU8xM ) reports that firefighters responded to the fire near Newalla Monday night. As firefighters were extinguishing the fire, they discovered the woman’s body and notified the sheriff’s office.

Little Axe Fire Chief Al Schneider said the victim, whose identity has not been released pending notification of family, was found in the living room.

The Criminal Investigations Detachment and the State Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating. The victim’s remains have been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City for an autopsy.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
