GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say two Greenville brothers have been arrested in connection with a series of hole-in-the-wall break-ins that occurred at businesses across Pitt County over the last four years.

Law enforcement officials told local media outlets that 34-year-old Donneill Donta Brown and 33-year-old Donald Dontonoius Brown are charged in at least 38 cases in Pitt County and 22 in Greenville.

Donneill Brown is being held in the Pitt County jail under an $11.7 million bond; Donald Brown is jailed under a $9.2 million bond. It’s not known if either man has an attorney.

Authorities said thieves cut holes in the exterior walls of businesses. The holes were near safes or automated teller machines, which the thieves would gain access to. Officials say the thieves took more than $200,000 in cash.
