BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (AP) - Allegiant will offer flights from the North Central West Virginia Airport to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, again next summer.

The Benedum Airport Authority announced Tuesday that seasonal service will resume in June. Service will continue through Aug. 16.

Allegiant first introduced the twice weekly, nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach in June of 2015 on a seasonal -basis. The airport authority says the service was well received.

The airport just east of Bridgeport is currently served by two commercial airlines.
