ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say the suspect in a shooting in northeast Albuquerque fatally shot himself after fleeing into mountains near Albuquerque.

Police say the initial shooting occurred Tuesday at a recreational vehicle park and storage lot after an altercation between the two men.

Police say the suspect had fatally shot himself when officers later found him in near a campground south of Tijeras.

Meanwhile, police say the victim of the initial shooting remained in critical condition Wednesday.
