BENTON, Ark. (AP) - A Saline County judge has set bond at $100,000 each for the parents charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of their 2-year-old child.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1TfEXDX ) that the bond was set Wednesday for 23-year-old Tabitha Ashley and 27-year-old Phillip Ashley, both of Benton. They were arrested on Monday after their son, Blayden, fatally shot himself on Nov. 17 at the couple’s residence.

A court affidavit says Tabitha was in the bathroom when she heard a gunshot in the living room of her house. The affidavit says Blayden was found lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to his face, and a .45-caliber handgun was found next to him.

Tabitha and Phillip are also charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor involving their 6-year-old daughter.
