KILLINGWORTH, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police are investigating the deaths of a husband and wife found inside a home in Killingworth.

Spokeswoman Kelly Grant says troopers were called to the scene at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a disturbance.

Police say 57-year old Billy Newman and 48-year-old Lauren Beebe were found unresponsive in a room inside the home when officers arrived and they were pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.

Court records show the couple had been going through a divorce. Police say two children who were in the home have been placed with other family members.

The office of the chief state’s medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
