COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A 28-year-old woman is heading to prison in a hit-and-run crash that killed one person and injured another in Columbus earlier this year.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1QHrvu8 ) Erin Overturf was sentenced Tuesday to 11 years behind bars in the crash that killed 61-year-old Sadie Moss on July 1.

Overturf pleaded no contest last month to aggravated vehicular homicide, failing to stop at the scene of a crash and related offenses.

Prosecutors say Overturf was driving recklessly and with a suspended license when the crash occurred. Authorities say witnesses saw her get out of her car and make a call on her cellphone before fleeing the scene.

Overturf apologized in court and says she takes responsibility for her actions.
