WHAT’S AT STAKE

Florida’s chances of making to the College Football Playoff. The Gators are 12th in the CFP rankings and need to beat Florida State and win the Southeastern Conference championship game next week to have a shot at cracking the top four.

KEY MATCHUP

Florida State RB Dalvin Cook vs Florida’s stout defense. The school’s single-season rushing leader, Cook has 1,475 yards on the ground and is averaging 147.5 yards a game. LSU’s Leonard Fournette gashed the Gators on the ground for 180 yards, so they see this as a chance at redemption.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Florida State: Junior CB Jalen Ramsey, who makes plays almost every week. He has 39 tackles, including two for loss, 10 pass breakups and a 36-yard scoop-and-score touchdown against Boston College.

Florida: Senior DT Jon Bullard, who has played through knee and arm injuries this season, has 53 tackles, including 13 ½ for loss, and 5 ½ sacks this season. He has started 23 consecutive games.
