SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a man has died after he was struck in the head with a skateboard outside a Santa Ana Starbucks.

The Orange County Register reports (https://bit.ly/1Xq4Tx6 ) that police had responded to the Starbucks Tuesday to reports of an assault.

Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says an argument that broke out between two men in the coffee shop turned violent. At some point, a man believed to be in his 20s, hit an older man with a skateboard outside the store.

Bertagna says the older man went into full cardiac arrest and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The man suspected of hitting the man with the skateboard was interviewed by police and released.

The incident is still being investigated.
