BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man will spend five to 10 years in prison for a drunken motorcycle crash in which his passenger was killed.

The Centre Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1NcSiw7 ) reports Charles Frederick Oliver II was sentenced Tuesday by a Centre County judge for homicide by vehicle while driving drunk and other crimes.

Police say the 53-year-old Andreas man was more than twice as drunk as the law permits when he crashed on Route 504 in Union Township on July 2, 2014.

Oliver and Karen Dale Moore were thrown from the motorcycle. She died at the scene and Oliver was injured and underwent surgery at UPMC Altoona hospital. Oliver also did not have a valid motorcycle license when he crashed.
