LEWISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Amtrak service to and from Pittsburgh is being delayed by a small freight car derailment in central Pennsylvania.

Amtrak says a Norfolk Southern train is blocking tracks between Lewistown and Harrisburg. That’s because two cars on the freight train have derailed. No injuries have been reported.

As a result, passengers heading from Pittsburgh to New York will be dropped off at Lewistown and bused to Harrisburg, about 60 miles away, where they’ll board another Amtrak train. Passengers inbound from New York will get off at Harrisburg and take a bus to Lewistown, where they’ll take Amtrak into Pittsburgh.

The trains also make stops in Philadelphia and Trenton.

Norfolk Southern officials hoped to have crews on scene by 4 p.m. to clear the track.
