SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls company has manufactured some of the balloons that will be featured in Macy’s Thanksgiving parade in New York.

Raven Industries’ Aerostar division has produced more than 90 large balloons for the parade over the years. The balloons produced this year include Ronald McDonald, Sinclair Oil’s Dino and Scrat from the animated movie “Ice Age.”

Raven Aerostar division vice president and general manager Lon Stroschein tells the Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1NtthyH ) that the balloons take “hundreds and hundreds of hours to design and build.” He says it is “awesome” to see the teamwork, preparation, diligent construction and execution come together every year.

The first balloons that the company built for the parade were Raggedy Ann and Garfield.
