HORICON, N.Y. (AP) - The search continues for an 82-year-old man who’s been missing for 10 days, since he went hunting with friends in the southeastern Adirondacks.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation says the search for Thomas Messick of Troy will resume on Wednesday. On Tuesday, 145 people searched 200 acres of land that hadn’t been searched before, as well as 900 acres of previously searched terrain.

Searches by rangers, state police and volunteers have failed to turn up any sign of Messick. He was reported missing when he failed to meet up with his hunting group on Nov. 15 near Lily Pond in the Warren County town of Horicon.

The search is being conducted in area of dense woods, steep terrain and wetlands.
