COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Columbia police have charged a suspect with a killing just over two years ago.

Media outlets report that 24-year-old Jacob Onay Green has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police say on Nov. 13, 2013, 21-year-old Nathaniel McKelvin was shot while on a porch of a home in Columbia. During the investigation, police identified Green as a suspect. Police say they have not determined an exact motive, but that they think gang activity may have been involved.

Green was already in jail in a shooting that happened in March of 2014 in Columbia. Officers say in that incident, Green shot a man in the leg during an argument.
