ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say a man is dead after the truck he was driving carrying a female passenger and five dogs crashed.

Police say the dogs were taken to animal control while the female passenger underwent treatment for non-life threatening injuries from Wednesday’s crash.

The truck was traveling outbound on the Glenn Highway when the driver lost control just past the Mirror Lake area, crossed the center divider and rolled over.

The driver was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
