BEND, Ore. (AP) - Federal data show the Bend and Portland areas saw some of the nation’s steepest increases in home prices over the past 12 months.

In the third quarter of 2015, Bend had the eighth-highest level of house-price appreciation compared with the same quarter last year. The Portland area ranked 14th.
