BENTON, Ark. (AP) - Police in Benton have arrested a man on drug-related charges after he allegedly drove his car onto the roof of a warehouse.

Police say officers responded to a report Wednesday morning of a reckless driver on Military Road near the Interstate 30 overpass. Police say the driver apparently drove off the road and landed on the roof of Tops Shoes.

Police say the driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening. He was then arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal mischief, among other charges.

The business’ owner, Bart Dickinson, says the road is nearly level with the roof at the back of the building. Dickinson tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1NRlbde ) a crane was needed to remove the car.
