PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey helped serve free Thanksgiving breakfast at an annual event at a south Phoenix McDonalds restaurant.

Ducey , his wife Angela and sons were on hand at the McDonalds owned by Julian Nabozny as thousands of local residents were treated to the meal.

Nabozny has been offering complementary meals on Thanksgiving since 1993 as a way to give back to the community. The event draws several thousand people.

Local businesses also distributed free turkeys and other items at the restaurant.
