IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - A man has been charged in connection to the theft of jewelry and electronics in at least two homes in Iowa City.

Iowa City police say 22-year-old Bruno Campos Felipe was arrested Wednesday night. He faces first-degree and third-degree theft. Court records do not list an attorney.

Authorities say a recent search warrant of Campos Felipe’s home produced evidence linking him and another friend to several residential burglaries. One reported in June involved the theft of a video game console. Another reported in September involved the theft of a wedding ring valued at more than $8,000.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1lk7yfA ) Campos Felipe told authorities he pawned some of the stolen items but he denied stealing them.
