HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Officials say that a man has died after his home caught fire in Huntington.

Deputy Fire Chief Brian Grieco tells WOWK-TV (https://bit.ly/1TgU3Jn ) that authorities are working to identify the body and notify next of kin.

Officials say firefighters tried to rescue the man on Wednesday night, but the flames and smoke were too strong. He was the only person in the home at the time.

Authorities are investigating what caused the fire.
